ABOUT THE URBAN COTTAGE

The Urban Cottage is nestled on a beautiful, tree lined street among other cherished historic homes. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and has been lovingly preserved. Guests will find original hardwood floors, gas log fireplaces, 12 foot ceilings and 8 foot tall windows looking onto beautiful green space, most of which is enclosed by a privacy fence. 


The layout of The Urban Cottage is unique. It was built in 1923 by two sisters as one of Little Rock's first duplexes.  They designed it with a connecting door that remains.  This door connects 2 cottages, Barkley and Hayward. These two cottages have full kitchens with dining and living spaces, gas fireplaces and access to fenced yards. The third cottage, Winslow, has its own private entrance and cannot be entered from the other, larger area of the house.  This always seems to be the favorite space for that person or couple who want a little extra privacy.  It also has its own kitchenette and gas fireplace, perfect for morning coffee, cocktails or snacks. 


Luxuriously large, the Urban Cottage has room enough for everyone to spread out and relax in more than 3,000 sq. ft. of space. The main area of The Urban Cottage has a large fenced and gated garden that connects to a second
